Malmö Arena är en spektakulär sport- och evenemangsarena med sin totala bruttoyta på 51 m2 och har en publikkapacitet på personer vid sportevenemang och personer vid musikevenemang. Den ligger i den nya stadsdelen Hyllievång. Initiativtagare och pådrivande vid tillkomsten av arenan är byggherren Percy Nilsson som påbörjade arbetet med detaljplanen som sedermera utarbetades och slutfördes i samarbete med Malmö stad.
Arenan ritades av Pöyry Architects & Wingårdhs arkitektkontor och efter att bygglov hade erhållits i september togs det första spadtaget något försenat den 10 januari Byggteknik i Skåne var byggnadskonstruktör. november invigdes den med pompa och ståt där bl.a. Robyn och Andreas Johnson var några av artisterna som firade med Percy Nilsson och 11 gäster i nya Malmö Arena.
Arenan är hemmaarena för ishockeylaget Malmö Redhawks och bland större arrangemang som arrangerats i Malmö Arena märks Melodifestivalen och , Idol , Fotbollsgalan , SM-final i innebandy samt Eurovision Song Contest År gästades arenan för första gången av världseliten i friidrott då inomhustävlingen Malmö Indoor Gala hölls där.

Ice hockey team in Sweden
The Malmö Redhawks (colloquially referred to simply as Malmö or by past abbreviation MIF) are a Swedish professional ice hockey team based in malm which plays in the SHL, with Malmö Arena as the venue for home games.
The history of the team dates back to as the ice hockey division of the now exclusively football clubMalmö FF. In the team divested from malm FF, marking the början of the hockey association initially known as malm IF. The team name was changed to MIF Redhawks in and then to the present name IF malm Redhawks in [1] Officially the grupp goes bygd the name Ishockeyföreningen malm Redhawks (Ice Hockey Association Malmö Redhawks).[2][3] The current CEO fryst vatten Patrik Sylvegård who represented the grupp during his senior playing career.

Malmö Arena is a multi-purpose indoor arena in Malmö, Sweden, and the venue for home games of SHLice hockey team Malmö Redhawks.[4] It is the largest arena in the SHL, and the second-largest indoor arena in Sweden.[3] Apart from hosting Redhawks hockey matches, the arena is a significant venue for team handball, floorball, concerts, and other events. It has also hosted indoor athletics. Owned and operated by Parkfast AB, the arena was designed by Mats Matson of MM Matsson Konsult AB, Hannu Helkiö of Pöyry Architects, and Gert Wingårdh of Wingårdh arkitektkontor.[3] Naming rights for the venue are owned by Malmö Stad, in a ten-year contract, agreed in [5] The venue hosted the World Junior Ice Hockey Championships from 26 December to 5 January It hosted the Eurovision Song Contest between 14 and 18 May ,[6] and hosted the same event again between 7 and 11 May [7]
